Getting started

Getting started with Veroxa

Veroxa is a documentation tool built for parents in family court. This guide gets you from signup to your first logged record. Plan on five minutes.

1. Create your account

Go to getveroxa.com/signup and pick the role that fits you best:

  • Pro se parent: you are representing yourself
  • Parent with an attorney: you have a lawyer but want to document on your own

Enter your name, state, email, and a password. Click Create free account. Check your inbox for the confirmation email and click the link to verify.

2. Set up your first case

After confirming your email, you land on the dashboard. Click Cases in the sidebar, then + New Case.

Fill in the basics. Only the case title is required. Common fields:

  • Title: how you refer to the case (e.g., "Smith v. Smith")
  • Docket number: the court's reference for your case
  • Judge: the judge assigned
  • Opposing party: the other parent's name
  • County and state: the court that has jurisdiction

You can edit any of these later as the case evolves.

3. Log your first record

The most important thing you can do is start documenting. Pick whichever type matches what just happened:

  • Incident: something the other parent did or did not do that you want recorded with a timestamp
  • Visit: a custody exchange or visit, marked as on time, late, or with an incident
  • Expense: a child-related cost you paid that you may want reimbursed
  • Communication: a notable message or call (you can paste the text or just summarize)

Every record you create is automatically timestamped and tied to your case. Nothing is shared with anyone unless you choose to export or invite an attorney.

Free tier limits

The free plan covers one case with unlimited records. That is enough to start a paper trail and decide whether Veroxa fits your situation. Exports, integrations, expense reimbursement links, and search are reserved for the paid tiers.

When you are ready for more:

  • Pro ($99/month or $899/year) — for parents working with an attorney. Unlimited cases, court-ready PDF and DOCX exports, co-parent expense approvals, Google Calendar and Drive sync, bulk document upload, and the ability to invite your attorney to view your case.
  • Premium ($149/month or $1,349/year) — for parents handling their own case. Everything in Pro plus OCR, full-text search across every record, court-ready exhibit numbering, visitation backfill, and priority support.

Every signup starts with a 14-day free trial that gives you full Premium access so you can test the power features before picking a tier. No credit card needed to start.
