Accessibility

Our goal
Veroxa is for parents and attorneys going through family court, and everyone should be able to use it, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, magnification or other assistive technology. We work to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA on getveroxa.com and in the Veroxa app.
What we do
Before each release we run automated accessibility checks on the public pages and on every tab of the signed-in parent dashboard, so new problems are caught before they ship. Text is designed to meet WCAG color contrast, keyboard focus is always visible, controls in the dashboard work with a keyboard, every form field and button has a name that assistive technology can read, and pop-up windows keep keyboard focus inside them and close with the Escape key.
What still needs work
Our automated checks do not yet cover the attorney dashboard or the forms and pop-up windows inside the app, and automated checks cannot catch every barrier. We are adding hand testing with a keyboard and a screen reader for the main tasks: signing up, recording incidents, uploading documents and exporting records. Until that is done, some parts of the app may still be hard to use with assistive technology.
Tell us about a barrier
If something on Veroxa is hard or impossible for you to use, please tell us through the contact form on the Help page. Say which page or feature you were using and what happened. We will reply, work with you to get you the information or complete the task another way in the meantime, and fix the problem.
Compatibility
Veroxa is built for current versions of Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox, on desktop and mobile.
